We tell this story many times and day….. and it pays to say it over and over again. Just like people, dogs come in many shapes and sizes. And just like when you are shopping for yourself….. all clothes fit differently. So, if your dog has a "small" shirt that fits great, do not assume that he is only a "small". He could be a "medium" or even a "large" in another line of clothing. We want you to be happy with your order, so please take the time to measure your four legged friend according to our diagrams and measuring suggestions.
Bark and Sniff Boutique carries a large variety of product lines from many different vendors and each one has its own sizing guidelines. Purchase the product based on the specific sizing guide for each item, not just the size of the product. Nobody is perfect and some mistakes will be made, however, these sizing guides will ensure the most accurate fit and will save everyone a lot of frustration and shipping charges!

COLLARS
When purchasing a collar, measure around your dogs neck. As a rule of thumb, and comfort, you should be able to slide two fingers between the collar and your dogs neck. You should also pay attention to the width of the collar.
HARNESSES
When measuring for a harness, you should measure the "girth" of your dog. This is the chest or tummy area of your dog that is the thickest.
CLOTHING
Most often clothing companies will ask you to measure the "length" of you dog which means from the nape of the neck to the base of the tail. Sometimes they will ask you to measure the "girth" of your dog. This means to measure around the thickest part of the dogs chest.
